Here is a list of my Top Five Re-Reads:

1. BDSM Universe by Xanthe. The OG BDSM AU, so if you haven't read it you really should! My favorite story from the whole series is "Hiding in Plain Sight" an SGA/NCIS crossover, which has several great pairings, but is primarily Gibbs/Tony. This Tony is heartbreaking in a beautiful way.

2. Ties that Bind Series by Kiera Marcos. This is Keira playing with her take on a BDSM AU and it is the BEST. THING. EVER. SGA John/Rodney, and so many other excellent pairings, including some iconic OCs. Kiera is incredible at consistent characterization and world building.

3. The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop. My all time favorite series of books. I come back to this series over and over. I assume it would be considered Dark Fantasy, given some of the themes, but it always leaves me feeling hopeful and bittersweet. I've read many of the additional books in the Realms of the Blood, but haven't yet read the new trilogy starting with "The Queen's Bargain."

4. "Emergence" by Jilly James. NCIS Gibbs/Tony story with crossovers to SG-1 and the Magnificent Seven in later chapters. They're DRAGONS!!! I don't think I need to say more, right?

5. The Talents Universe by Anne McCaffrey. I've read a lot of the Pern books too, but her sci-fi series about the Talents is one that brings me back to reread them again and again. Its also one of those eerie situations where you watch things from so-called fiction written decades ago coming true IRL right now, and its unnerving.

Sometimes we buy books and keep them there... shelved... unread lol

They're fantastic, though! I highly recommend them since Bishop wrote all of the supernatural creatures as actual predators instead of just slightly more powerful than humans. It's wonderful :D

This is making me want to reread The Others again :'D

And Ephemera is on my TBR! One day I will get to it lol I still want to get caught up with Black Jewels before I jump into another one of her universes. At this point I feel like I need to slooowly consume her works, otherwise I'll be left with no more Anne Bishop to read.

I only do that sometimes now! Mostly I'm like: must stretch the good thing as far as I can make it go :P
